Management Action Record
In 2019-2020, IEG and World Bank Group reformed the annual Management Action Record (MAR) process to better support accountability in the follow-up of IEG evaluation recommendations by enabling better and more meaningful tracking, dialogue, and self-assessment of Bank Group management’s implementation of IEG recommendations.
Going forward, the annual MAR update will be calibrated against the outcomes envisioned in IEG’s recommendations and conducted based on qualitative analysis. IEG and Management no longer rate progress of recommendation implementation. IEG will annually publish its MAR Validation report. Management’s action plans and the MAR rating system were discontinued. The Committee on Development Effectiveness endorsed the MAR reform at its meeting on September 25, 2020.
